Alcester Health Centre is pleased to announce that we have become a fully registered specialist Yellow Fever Centre, one of only a small number within South Warwickshire and the Midlands.
Yellow fever is an acute viral illness which is spread by the female mosquito within certain areas of South America and Africa. In order to prevent further transmission yellow fever vaccination has become a border control necessity for many countries, where proof of vaccination is required for travel.
Yellow Fever is a private travel vaccination which we are able to provide to both registered and non-registered patients of Alcester Health Centre. Information regarding the yellow fever virus, the immunisation itself; including contraindications and precautions, and border control requirements for all countries can be found at the following websites, or a travel health form can be completed from the surgery. The nursing team will assess individual requirements and answer any questions you may have.
If you have any questions regarding Yellow fever or you wish to discuss any travel health requirements please contact the nursing team at the surgery.
